As beautiful and varied as the side dishes they hold, these Banchan bowls are named after the traditional Korean small plates served with every meal. Though small in size, these sharing bowls play a starring role in family-style food culture, often holding dishes that prime the palate or serve as beautiful accompaniments to the main dish. Whether used for Banchan, Tapas, Dim Sum, Antipasti, Mezze, Pol-pol, or Zakuski, these bowls will enhance any table with the warm memories of home and meals shared.

Each piece is hand-formed on a potter's wheel, is dishwasher-safe, and very durable.

Rachel Green

Entranced by throwing clay on the potter's wheel and honing the chemical complexities of the materials she works with, the work of ceramicist Rachel Green is considered down to every detail.

Made in small batches, her practice reflects a consideration of each piece's place in our homes and hands, ensuring its shape is well thought out and functions well. Not only is Green's work designed for durability in everyday use, but with the employment of meticulously custom-formulated glazes, each piece is also wholly unique and spirited on its surface. The resulting work is beautifully subdued, evoking memories of coastlines and tumbled river stones.

Now based in Portland, Oregon, Rachel splits her time between her home studio and wood-firing work deep in the woods of Willamina.
