Studio Tercette

Drawing inspiration from the poetic unit 'tercet,' composed of three lines, Tercette is a women's knitwear brand based in Portland, Oregon. 

Founded in 2023 by Alice Wang and Jenny Nieh, the uncompromising quality and emphasis on yak wool is what drew us to this independent brand. Yak wool, which rivals cashmere in softness, is 120% more breathable alongside its moisture-wicking and antimicrobial properties. The resulting pieces in their collection harmonize function and style while keeping sustainability (in both material sourcing and production) at its core. 

All pieces are designed in Portland and made real by small family-owned factories in Taiwan, where Alice and Jenny are from. The yak wool is sustainably sourced from traditional herders in Tibet, Qinghai, and Sichuan, where the yaks are hand-combed each spring, yielding around 100g of fiber per animal.
