Raised in the south of France by a father who cherished antiques, i grew up in a home where every object had a story. This Childhood environment instilled in me a reverence to materials and the emotional weight they carry.
In my work today, quiet forms meet raw textures, a dialogue of contrast and harmony, where stillness finds its edge. I'm drawn to the space between refinement and roughness, to the tension that animates restraint. I aim to create work that invite slower gaze, pieces that hold presence and ask to pause.
To me, craft resonate with memory, gesture, a way of paying attention and fully be present.
I moved to San Francisco about 10 years ago and not long after, fell in love with clay. obsessed, even. It became my medium for exploring form, silence and tactility.
I work at home in a little studio overlooking my lovely backyard. I am also a ceramic instructor, working closely with individuals living with dementia and others with diverse needs. I use clay as a therapeutic medium. In these sessions, process takes precedence over outcome. The simplicity of working with clay becomes a way to connect, to calm, and to communicate without words. This work has deepened my understanding of the human relationship to materials, and reinforced my belief in craft as care and connection.
