Even before launching our small webshop, we have always believed that there is beauty to be found in even the simplest of everyday tools and have prioritized investing in handmade craft wherever we could.

From being surrounded by such beautiful craft every day, we naturally wanted to offer our own products in collaboration with the makers and designers we admire.

Working directly with independent craftspeople to produce products with enduring construction and timeless simplicity, we are proud to offer pieces in collaboration with people we both respect and represent.

Due to the porous nature of bamboo and the fine quality of the tines, this tool rewards proper care with longevity.

Before preparing tea, we recommend soaking the tines of your chasen in warm water to soften them, minimizing the risk of breakage.

After whisking your tea, rinse the tines gently with warm water. Always avoid using soap, as it can dry out the bamboo or impart unwanted tastes and aromas.

Allow the whisk to air-dry completely, ideally on a naoshi (whisk stand), which helps maintain the tines' shape over time. With regular use, some softening and breakage are expected, but proper drying is essential to preventing unwanted cracking or mold.

Returns for store credit are accepted within 7 days of receipt or delivery. All valid returns must be in unused condition with attached tags and original packaging.

For online orders, Storied Objects will not accept any returned merchandise without prior written communication and a valid return authorization number. Upon inspection of the returned item, store credit will be provided minus a 10% restocking fee; no refunds.
