Incense, bookbinding, tattooing, and design are all modalities that co-mingle within Hungi Park's multi-disciplinary brand and namesake, Hyungi. Founded in 2019, Park's relationship with scent started from her sculpture and performance arts background. Immediately captivated by the intimate process of hand-making incense, Park discovered that Kōdō (incense ceremony, or "the way of fragrance") was the performative ritual she'd been craving. Now with a sought-after line of incense sticks, cones, and papers, Hyungi's work has been featured in the New York Times and Architectural Digest, and has worked with MOCA, Viacom, Spotify, and is a member of the NEW INC Creative Science Track.
