Light, playful, and purposeful, these glass spice bubbles offer maximum impact despite their small stature! Reminiscent of bubbles, each is hand-blown from clear glass with a delicate hot-popped opening and natural cork stopper. Its translucency reveals the color and texture of the salts, spices, and seasonings within, adding a playful touch to this familiar dining-table object. We love using ours for Togarashi!

These spice bubbles are priced and sold individually.

Artist Notes

Esque Studio

Having first met as artists for hire at UrbanGlass in New York City, Andi Kovel and Justin Parker were immediately drawn to each other's shared outlook on design and their passion for pushing the boundaries of glass.

Within their unexpected proportions and vibrant color schemes, you can tell that Kovel and Parker see beauty as both performative and as sustenance. When looking at their work, you immediately recognize the material's fluid and inherently uncontrollable nature. In a way, each piece they create seems to be a form of material exploration versus a perfectly controlled replica.

Now located in Portland, Oregon's industrial Saint Johns neighborhood, Esque Studio is both a homage to the history of glass and a promise to pave a new path for it as an expressive medium.

Note: Justin Parker has set out independently with Justin Parker Design, and Andi Kovel now exclusively designs and fabricates all work representing Esque.
