A miniature iteration of George William Bell's iconic 'Inflate' series, these functional bud vases explore material transformation and the expressive potential of form in motion. Each biomorphic and eccentric piece is entirely unique, shaped through a non-traditional making process that embraces chance, improvisation, and the unpredictability of glass. We love how this piece stands on the line between modern fine art and utilitarian craft.

Artist Notes

George William Bell

Over the last 20 years, artist and maker George William Bell has been pushing the boundaries of process, innovation, and craftsmanship within his chosen medium, glass.

Balancing precision and experimentation, you will find Bell's work firmly at the intersection of fine art, craft, and design. His reflective surfaces, bold forms, and innovative use of Venetian cane techniques push material and scale in ways that feel entirely fresh while still respecting traditional making practices. Before rooting himself in California, Bell worked in glass factories in the UK, trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and built an extensive career as a designer in Scandinavia.

Bell has since been widely exhibited, including New Glass Now at the Corning Museum of Glass, the European Award for Applied Arts in Belgium, and the Glass is Tomorrow touring exhibition across Europe. He has also received recognition from Danske Kunsthåndværkere & Designere, Ung Svensk Form, and the Stanislav Libenský Award.

Returns for store credit are accepted within 7 days of receipt or delivery. All valid returns must be in unused condition with attached tags and original packaging.

For online orders, Storied Objects will not accept any returned merchandise without prior written communication and a valid return authorization number. Upon inspection of the returned item, store credit will be provided minus a 10% restocking fee; no refunds.
