Details

Invisible yet present, scent plays a powerful role in how you experience a space. Handmade using ethically sourced woods, herbs, resins, and oils, these incense cones are our favorite alternative to harsh air fresheners and scented candles. Inspired and named after traditional Korean houses, Hanok contains notes of cypress, oak, amber, and black pepper.

Each tube comes with 10 bullet cones.

Burn Tip: Burning natural materials leaves a slight residue. We suggest burning cones atop a small bed of salt, rice, or sand and tossing as needed.

Artist Notes

Hyungi

Incense, bookbinding, tattooing, and design are all modalities that co-mingle within Hyungi Park's multi-disciplinary brand and namesake, Hyungi.

Founded in 2019, Park's relationship with scent began with her background in sculpture and performance arts. Immediately captivated by the intimate process of hand-making incense, Park discovered that Kōdō (incense ceremony, or "the way of fragrance") was the performative ritual she'd been craving. "I like to watch incense. Even though it's not the most dynamic, it can be, actually..."

Now with a sought-after line of incense sticks, cones, and papers, Hyungi's work has been featured in the New York Times and Architectural Digest, and she has worked with MOCA, Viacom, and Spotify, and she is a member of the NEW INC Creative Science Track.
