Located in the historic Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, Homestead House has been a loved name in the community for years.
Having first been started by local schoolteacher and hobbyist Kristl Bridge, Amber Andrade acquired the small business in 2019 with a dream of turning it into a sustainable and artisanal apothecary line for the home. Under the direct mentorship of Kristl, Amber was passed down the tools and knowledge to carry on the Homestead House line and begin creating new products of her own.
On top of her finely handcrafted bath, body, and cleaning products, Amber strives to support the environment and local economy by sourcing locally, using natural ingredients, and using packaging that can either be recycled, repurposed, refilled or composted.
