Seemingly infinite hand-carved gouges throughout a cup, caviar-like dots adorning the textured surface of a bowl—these are just a few of the incredible motifs achieved by ceramic artist Lana Kova.
Attributing her sense of detail and proportion to the incredible craftsmanship she's experienced throughout her career as a fashion model, there is an undoubtedly strong relationship between her ceramic work and the clothes she's worn on the runway. Despite her connection to high fashion, Kova draws most of her inspiration from the ocean and all its organic forms.
Now working full-time as an artist in NYC, Kova can be found in her Tribeca studio, bravely embracing new techniques and constantly iterating her craft.
