Ildhane was the first object produced for the Nedre Foss collection. The idea of the product was prior to the idea of creating a brand. It has an expressive shape that resembles a bird with a handsome tail, which also makes for easy carrying despite its substantial weight.

Known for their beautifully designed and enduring collection of homewares, Nedre Foss has an innate ability to surpass trends by creating objects that are familiar and unexpected. Founded by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll (of Oslo-based design studio Anderssen & Voll) in 2009, the goal was always to create objects where utility and sculpture were well balanced. Using timeless materials like brass, cast iron, wood, and glass, their handmade processes are combined with sustainable technologies, resulting in pieces that will remain relevant over time. Behind their intriguing Scandinavian designs, Nedre Foss closely collaborates with independent designers equally inspired by simplicity and sustainability.
