Whether it is used for clothing, packaging goods, or drying hands, Belgian linen is a practical and versatile textile known to be one of the finest in the world.

Since 2017, Diane and Tony Brush have been dedicated to holding Belgium's high standard of craft through their shared love of linen products. Between their collective backgrounds in textile/ interior design and cooking, every piece produced by the small Portland-based studio is designed with a nod to tradition, timelessness, and versatility. 

To coincide with our belief in offering beautifully enduring products, we collaborated on a series of kitchen towels and tea mats with the Fernhill team to enjoy for years to come.

Linen is the hardest-wearing natural fiber known to man—it's naturally antibacterial, moth-resistant, and exceptionally easy to care for.

Wash using a mild detergent without brightening agents, such as bleach. If you need to brighten light linens, put them out in the sun.

White and natural color linen pieces can be washed up to 90 degrees Farenheight (32 degrees Celsius). Linen naturally softens with each wash, but high heat can weaken the fibers over time. It is best to wash on the lowest machine temperature setting and use the maximum water/soak level.

For (liquid) stains, create a solution of baking soda and white vinegar, then blot the stain with a paper towel (do not scrub, as this will rub the stain deeper).

Avoid tumble drying at all costs, as it can cause unnecessary shrinkage. While damp, iron the linen, then lay it flat or hang it to dry (linen is strongest when wet, so always dampen it when ironing).

Store your linen in a cool, dry place with plenty of airflow. Avoid storing in plastic, as it can cause yellowing.

Returns for store credit are accepted within 7 days of receipt or delivery. All valid returns must be in unused condition with attached tags and original packaging.

For online orders, Storied Objects will not accept any returned merchandise without prior written communication and a valid return authorization number. Upon inspection of the returned item, store credit will be provided minus a 10% restocking fee; no refunds.
