New Year Reflections | 2024

Another year has flown by, and with it, marking the most memorable chapter yet for Storied Objects.

The new year takes us into our third as a business and also brings us closer to the first anniversary of our brick-and-mortar opening at 927 Southwest Oak Street. 

As I take a moment to reflect on this exhilarating path, I can't help but be filled with passion and gratitude. Where we started and where we are already feels lifetimes apart, and I am humbled by the fact that so much can change in such a small yet grandly significant amount of time. 

In the upcoming year, we're excited to introduce and host exhibitions in our gallery space to further uplift the people and craft we stand behind— we have a list of artists whose stories we can't wait to share with you— along with numerous plans to elevate your shopping experience in-store and online. Above all, we will continue to hone and uphold the commitments that first took us on this journey of creating real human connections and conveying the dedication of the artisans we represent.

As for me, I'm ready to let go of the heavy expectations I created for myself and didn't accomplish. To feel as much gratitude for myself as I have for those around me and acknowledge the parts of myself I let fall to the wayside along the way. 

Life is good and beautiful despite the challenges and imperfections. 

We're looking forward to embracing the new year, grounded by the lessons we've learned and forging even more beautiful stories for you in the months to come! I'll see you then.
