In 2001, Masahiro-san established his design studio (Sfera) to marry traditional practices with contemporary design aesthetics. With respect for time-honored materials and traditional craft practices, Sfera utilizes the talents of local artisans and makers to hand-create their designs while also offering them opportunities to find new markets in Japan and internationally.
Today, Mashiro-san continues to develop new product ranges for Sfera and other brands, continually balancing nature with the efficiency of modern living.
